Maternal Health Education Program

Rwanda Village Concept Project (RVCP) and GlobeMed GWU, two student organizations from the National University of Rwanda and The George Washington University respectively, have partnered together to carry out the Maternal Healthcare Education Program that is being held at the SOVU/RUKIRA CLINIC in the Huye Sector.

RVCP celebrated Malaria day in Huye

International Malaria Day is one of the international campaigns organized by Rwanda Village Concept Project in collaboration with international volunteers and local communities. Around 200 people participated in that event including RVCP volunteers, MEDSAR (Medical students association of RWANDA) members, primary school pupils members of SLAM(Students Leaders Against Malaria) and members of Huye community.

28^th Annual Candlelight March Memorial 15th of May 2011

‘Touching lives..."

For the 5th year RVCP was celebrating the international Aids candlelight memorial in Huye district. In collaboration with the Global Health Council RVCP was holding an event at Huye Showroom, representing the Southern Province of Rwanda. The event began with a march through the centre of Huye town to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS. Participants included members of Anti HIV/AIDS Youth Clubs, secondary school students from the Southern Province, university students and district such as university representatives.
